Product Overview

For varmints, death comes in threes. Our Segmented Hollow-Point breaks into three parts on impact. Each one acts like its own projectile and creates a distinct wound channel to bring your target down hard.

Quiet, reliable and highly effective
I've been using these to dispatch ground squirrels on the property to excellent effect. They're subsonic, so relatively quiet (much appreciated in Canada where suppressors are prohibited), cycle my 10/22 flawlessly, and have terminal effectiveness on these ground squirrels comparable to CCI's Stingers. Accurate, quiet, quick, humane kills. My only complaint is that the local store didn't have more of these for me to buy!

Euthanizing Predators
CCI Segmented Hollow Point 22 LR 40 Grain I use these segmented hollow point bullets to dispatch trapped predators (raccoons, opossums, skunks, coyotes etc.) that attempt to climb my 7’ high chain link coop fence to kill my chickens. These do not damage the trap and effectively kill the predator, even if the shot is slightly off-center to the head. I prefer these over standard hollow point bullets They are much better than solid bullets for a quick humane kill of predators.

Segmented HP Subsonic .22lr
This round has been my favorite for varmints after shooting my first squirrel with these. The rounds are extremely accurate, quiet and very effective. The segmenting design literally pushes the squirrels out of the tree and produces a very quick kill. The exits are always three slivers reducing ricochet hazard. My 10/22 is zeroed to these rounds for pests around the house, yesterday it was a coyote at 40yds. Thanks again CCI

Slower Is Better!
CCI Segmented Hollow Point 22 LR 40 Grain Slower Is Better! I use segmented hollow point bullets to dispatch usually trapped predators (raccoons, opossums, skunks, coyotes etc.) that will attempt to climb my 7’ high chain link coop fence to kill my chickens. Slower segmented fragments do not damage the trap and effectively kill the predator, even if the shot is slightly off-center to the head. To dispatch a predator at point blank range in a trap, the speed of the fragmented segments should not be an overkill with damage to the trap and surrounding area if the segments exit the skull Segmenting bullets are much better than solid bullets & preferred over hollow point bullets for a quick humane kill of predators. Now Can CCI manufacture: Sub-Sonic Quiet-22 Segmented HP 22 LR in a 25 Grain or lighter weight @700 fps? It is ok if it doesn’t reload automatically; ~ keeping the breech closed maintains a quieter shot. Most people shooting varmints around their property are killing them at less than 50 feet. In this case, Slower Is Better!
